Prof. Dr. Wolfgang Lechner
Career:
Prof. Dr. Wolfgang Lechner, 1981, leads a research group at the Institute for Theoretical Physics at the University of Innsbruck. He is also a co-founder of the company parityqc in Innsbruck.
His research areas include quantum computing, quantum optimization, optomechanics with levitated nanostructure and computer physics. Through his research work Wolfgang Lechner has developed important insights and received several awards (Google Research Faculty Award, Housska Prize, Start Preis Austrian Science Fund, Wallnöfer Prize, Loschmidt Prize). He is holder of three international patents.
In addition to supervising diploma and PhD students, he is also active as a speaker at various professional events.
